elegantlion
I'm trying to update my look for winter. I'm very casual and like comfy cotton. I like this look for winter, but the shapes and colors aren't the best for me. I like the idea of leggings at home or thicker ones, maybe yoga pants type for out and about. I'm thinking a longer sweater that covers that is somewhat fitted but hits about mid-thigh. Or an open looser cardigan with a longer fitted shirt. I don't generally do shoes at home, but maybe boots that match the pants? I have short legs, so I'm thinking keep the color tones the same on the bottom. I generally do darker bottoms. I'm trying to create something I can throw on quickly and still look put together, but not like I'm trying too hard, if that makes sense. What colors are supposed to be in for fall? http://www.polyvore.com/comfy_cozyy_lt/set?id=56346134#stream_box

fairfarmhand
here's what I came up with. http://shopriddle.wordpress.com/2010/03/ http://creativefashionglee.com/how-to-dress-a-pear-shaped-body/ I am the pear shape and completely unfashionable, so these were eye-opening. (however, I do realize that a 1960's A-line looks great on me. But casual looks are beyond me) I'm traveling with dh this fall and maybe I need new clothes for that? :)

I love yoga pants and I have some that are looser, but I'm trying to find a less frumpy go-to look for fall. I think longer tops and some more fitted leggings or pants would be a comfortable start. Thanks for the links. I have a lot of colors in my wardrobe and I try to hilight whatever is in fashion at least a little bit. I bought some sweaters on clearance this spring that will hopefully get me out of the grey sweater mode I've been in for a while.
