Question about Calvert's Spelling CDs

Do the spelling words run on the easy or difficult side for grade level? Is there a list of sample words somewhere?

Hmm. I would say average. I don't think they are too difficult but right on grade level.

I don't know of any sample word list but here is a list of my daughter's fourth grade speller.

throat

through

screen

scratch

strange

street

strike

square

squeeze

threat

thrown

thrill

scrub

skyscraper

strawberry

strength

squeal

squirm

squirt

 

Here is are some words from the middle of the book :

worthless , disagree, incomplete, independent, treatment, suddenly , downstairs, pavement, thoughtful, beautiful, classmate, camera , interesting, powerful

 

To name a few. I've seen spelling programs where you need to go up a level or go down and this one is right on grade level.
