If you have felt the need to brush up on your grammar skills as an adult, what have you used?

I'm self-teaching Latin with Henle 1, and I also bought English Grammar for Students of Latin (on PlaidDad's recommendations) and Lingua Latina for a fun supplement.

Is this going to teach me enough grammar, or should I get something just for English grammar? What would you suggest?

You can see by my siggy that my girls are still very young, so I don't need to worry about keeping ahead of them... yet. :001_huh:

I'm going through Rod & Staff 7 myself, and plan to do R&S 8 when I finish. I'm a writer and want a thorough knowledge of grammar though, so that may be overkill for you. I can say that R&S definitely goes deeper than Easy Grammar, however, having used both with my kids.

I'm going through R & S Grammar 6 w/ my kiddos starting in the Fall. Sad, I know.

I couldn't diagram a sentence today if my life depended on it. Talk to me in a year... :)

Let us know what you decide.

I'm working through Abeka's grammar on my own; I bought G&C III and G&C IV for myself!

I bought Abeka primarily because my kids worked through their grammar series and I'm familiar with it. R&S is also excellent.

I am a copy editor and proofreader and I still have grammar questions. I have seriously considered buying Analytical Grammar just to brush up and make sure I have covered all the bases.

AG is a comprehensive course intended to be completed in one year. Rod and Staff, A Beka, and others like them are designed to be used several years in a row and to build off of previous knowledge. As an adult, I would prefer a course that is designed to be intensive and comprehensive and able to be completed in one year (or less, depending on how much you already know).
