Dustybug
What are some supplemental books or resources that you enjoyed?
Monarch Room
I'm going to be using it this year :) The Planted Trees put together a great list of supplemental books here: http://theplantedtrees.blogspot.com/2011/12/heart-of-dakota-bigger-book-basket.html

I'll be using Beyond. :)
Momof2littles
Is there anything in the appendix (like in the back of LHFHG)?
rgrin
:bigear: Alas, BLHFHG is the only guide by HOD that does NOT have any suggestions for extensions or supplemental reading... not in the appendix, either! :glare: I am on the hunt, too, though I have some time before we're there! I like to shop ahead when I find good deals. ;) I know you can use any of the extra US History readings (1565-1860) from LHFHG that you did not get to... Subbing in case someone chimes in with a better answer.

hollyh
I've planned to use many of the books from Winter Promise's AS1.
Bree
I would probably check out Winter Promise AS1 or some of the Readers from Sonlight that go with Core D
