For those of you who have given me nice rep....I wish to humbly thank you...I am up to 42. Wow....

 

I haven't been here for at least a week due to an accident. Sooo...please forgive my typing. I am trying to do this right handed.

 

I tripped over a stool my kids left in the dining room. I went to kick the stupid thing out of the way and didn't notice the bucket underneath the stool. This sent my foot flying and threw me off balance.

 

My husband is still trying to figure out exactly how I managed to injure all the parts of my body that I did....but I can tell you I did a "bang up" job. :lol:

 

I tried to catch the table with my left hand and ended up bending all of my fingers and wrist back against my forearm....good thing I'm a righty. But you don't realize how often you use your left arm until you are trying to get your seatbelt buckled and your door closed.

 

When I pulled my arm back in agony...this threw me to the left and I hit my left shoulder on the dining room table twisting and coming down backwards. I ended up banging the back of my head on the top of the table and then on the bar under the table as I slipped under the table.

 

After a 12 hour trip in the ER.....x-rays on my skull, (goose egg from behind the left ear to the base of the skull), scapula, neck, spine, left fore arm, hand and fingers, hip and pelvic....it appears that the only thing I broke were two nails.

 

They were two of my best nails though.......:glare:

 

Due to the fact that it looked like I cracked my neck and another spot on the spine....I ended up having to have 2 CAT scans.

 

The Doctor still thinks my hand is broke but the swelling was and is still pretty bad.......I am to go back next week and have the hand x-rayed again.

 

I feel like I have been beat up with a bat. A very big bat. My husband said he has been threatening to send me to stunt school to learn how to fall but then I would probably get hurt there too.

 

I don't do well sleeping on my right side but have no choice since I am bruised from my left hip to behind my left ear.

 

All I got from that was a scrip for 20 tabs of 800 mg motrin.

 

We are also at the NOVA Homeschool conference this weekend.

Oh....the nails I broke were on the right hand....:tongue_smilie:

 

:lol: If you want to feel sorry for me.....I'll gladly take the pity right now...actually maybe you should feel sorry for my husband. It didn't make for an enjoyable anniversary......but I did get him something for me to wear when I can move with out wincing......;) I don't think the poor guy expected his 15th anniversary to be quite so low key.....:D

 

Our anniversary was July 10th.

Sounds awful! Enjoy some rest and being pampered!!! I hope that your hand isn't broken!
