fourcatmom
It's 105 here today and I'm sure it hot in other places as well but I am just miserable. I can't wait for cooler weather? Anyone else? :thumbup1:

Bambam
How hot is it in Texas? Well, you asked for it: It is so hot in Texas that Hot water comes out of both taps. You break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m. before work. You realize asphalt has a liquid state. It's so hot the birds have to use pot holders to pull worms out of the ground. That was bad, so I will stop now!

I guess the birds won't eat those. :tongue_smilie:
Desert Rat
111 in Vegas today. We have a higher humidity percentage than we usually do and it's killing me! I've reached the point that I do every summer where I'm sick, sick, sick of the heat. I still have 8 weeks to go. It usually starts cooling down around Halloween. Boo! Ravin
Well, it cooled off some today after hitting record temps earlier this week, and the high was only 110 today. I rode a bike home from work, it's still 108...I think I'm acclimated. Cooler weather will be nice, though.

Parrothead
I don't suppose you want to read that the current temp here is 69*F, do you? WTM party at my place? It is raining, but not hot.
Ravin
Last night's low wasn't below 90. It's supposed to get up to 115 today. Glad I get to drive to and from work, even though the blower is busted it'll be less time in the heat than a bike ride! Some Northerly temps would be lovely, but at least it's SUPPOSED to be hot here. It's just a shame the monsoon seems to be over already. The air is dry as dry, no humidity. LibraryLover
It's super-humid here. Nearly unbearable. The sun is not even out!
JessReplanted
I don't consider TX to have a real autumn. There will be beautiful days spaced throughout October and November, though. There are a few areas that do have pretty foliage, but not like in PA. It's always exciting to have an actual "freezing" day for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well, whatever you want to call it - we're looking forward to seeing the temperature drop a few degrees.
Hot Lava Mama
Delirium, Mamabegood & Fourcatmom. Also here in Sacramento. Too! Stinking! Hot! My kids are getting tired of me saying "The heat! My God! The heat!" Ugh. It's here for another few days, then it will "cool" down to the mid 90's.:001_huh: Hot Lava Mama P.S. We should start up a WTM group here! Didn't know there were so many of us here!
ChristineW
I'm with you. The past two days were in the triple digits and we don't have air conditioning. Typically, we have a few weeks in the low 90s and that's it so it isn't worth the thousands to put q/c in an old 1940s house. I'm 20 weeks pg and miserable. I can't wait for it to cool off. At least today its only 96. Christine

Hot Lava Mama
Do you belong to any homeschool group around here? We just moved to Folsom at the end of last year. Hot Lava Mama
Denisemomof4
I think I would diie in that heat. I don't even like summer anymore. I like fall, after the first deep frost so must bugs are gone, and winter.:001_smile: I hate, hate, HATE humidity.
