Mom2legomaniacs Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Also, asking for advice on the space as well. Ignore my dirty, ugly cabinets please. Thanks. Oh, they are on my blog, linked below.:001_smile: Quote

That looks great! And now I have comparison guilt. My desk is a mess. I could shove some moving boxes over near it and say "still unpacking!" and stay in denial, or I could rise from my rump and straighten it. Decisions, decisions.. OH! It's lunch time. There we go. I have to feed my children, can't bother with desks. Quote

Kathleen in VA Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Looks much better now - I have many spots in my house that attract stuff - it's a never ending battle. I love your "comfy" chair - looks like a great place to read and drink coffee.:) Quote
Amy in Orlando Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Great job! I LOVE the table in the first picture. Quote

Oh, they are on my blog, linked below.:001_smile: Oh, the entryway is GREAT! You go, girl! As to the appliances, it is very simple. You have a huge garage just outside the kitchen door. Get a big rubbermaid or other storage box, put the kitchen appliances in, label, and put them right outside the door. When you need them, walk ten steps and take them from the box. How good you must feel! Quote

Mom2legomaniacs Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 Great job! I LOVE the table in the first picture. Thanks. I love it too. It looks like Pottery Barn. They have a table and the leather chairs that are almost identical to mine. But I got mine at Target for a much more reasonable price with Christmas money. Love them! Quote
Serendipity Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Very nice! I think it's great that you remembered to take 'befores'. I forget...often...lol. :) Quote

Sugarfoot Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 It all looks great! I love the socks that you're knitting. I'd love to be able to do that, but I'm left-handed, and no one has ever been able to show me how:). Great job with the decluttering! Quote
kim in ks Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 It looks great! Now keeping that way! that's usually the problem at our home. kim Quote

I started knitting this past winter and have become quite smitten with it. I wish we were closer, I would love to show you! It does feel good to declutter. I am getting so tired of the junk around here. I just want it to all go away. I am planning on starting the new year on Monday and need to get to a good point before then. I also have mounds of laundry to fold. Quote
Mom2legomaniacs Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 It looks great! Now keeping that way! that's usually the problem at our home. kim Yes it is a problem. I am trying to find a way to get rid of what I hate and don't need and to dedicate spaces for the things I want to keep so that it might be a tad easier to keep up. Quote
mcconnellboys Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Great job! I just cleared off the top of my closet in my bathroom and weeded through my basement, finishing up reorganizing it (which I started last summer). I still have to wade into the school room, though, and it's not long till we start back up - EEK!!!! Quote

OnTheBrink Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 geez. I meant to start a new thread. Sorry. Quote
Pam "SFSOM" in TN Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I can do that. Need to clean out some space in the garage first though. It's a mess. Oh, you saw it, so you know! No, you really don't. You have plenty of room, and one day you will organize it all. Or pay the small servants to do so. Just shove something over. Anything that's storable and you don't want in your house, just box it up and shove it in there. Label well. You've obviously never seen a messy garage if you think yours is all that bad. :D Quote
Nestof3 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I love that scrapbook paper on your blog -- that's My Mind's Eye -- right? Quote
Mom2legomaniacs Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 I love that scrapbook paper on your blog -- that's My Mind's Eye -- right? Thanks! Honestly, I haven't a clue! LOL! I simply chose that template from group of pre-made pages. Quote
Jackie in AR Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I still have to wade into the school room, though, and it's not long till we start back up - EEK!!!! Yep, I've got the school stuff still to go through, too. Yuck. Quote
mcconnellboys Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I'll race ya'll this week, LOL. We go out of town on Friday and won't really be back for any length of time and free from guests until August 5, so I've got to sprint! Quote
Jackie in AR Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 LOL! Why don't we meet up back here on August 5? That will probably be about the time I get through all the school stuff. This is how I'm feeling lately: :willy_nilly: Quote
mcconnellboys Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Yep, me too, LOL! The one thing I really intended to do this summer was the garage, and I don't think there's any way I'm gonna get to it! I'll just be glad to get these other projects done. I made good progress on my school room today! But I still have a ton of stuff left to do, Quote
