Because you'll appreciate this more than anyone in my real life

The thrift store must have had a homeschooler make a donation.

I picked up, for $.50 each:

The entire 15 hardcover volumes of Childcraft Encyclopedia in barely touched condition. I don't think a child owned these, or if they did they never opened them. (They're going for $80 for the used set on amazon!)

3 Ruth Heller books

2 books of science projects and a science encyclopedia

A set of 8 leveled phonics readers that I've never seen, but look perfect for new reader pr

Aesop's Fables, Grimm's and Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales, and Mother Goose, all beautifully illustrated

A gardening with kids book

A set of 5 books about American monuments (Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, etc.)

Little House on the Prairie on CD for $1.99. We just finished reading Little House in the Big Woods aloud, so it's perfect for the car.

4 Greg Tang math story books

Plus, several educational board games for $1.99 each.

I did a little happy dance in the aisle! Even including 2 pairs of jeans for DS, I left the store for under $45 and with a HUGE box of books and an even HUGER grin!!
