Excelsior! Academy
It doesn't feel like we take that many photos, nor do we develop that many. Yet, photographs are taking over my house. We have been decluttering our home and are close to finished. What about photographs? If we keep them, where and how do we store them? Should we purge some? staceyobu
I did this a while back. It is sooo hard and time consuming to go through photos. I basically went through and threw away any that hadn't turned out good. I also threw away any duplicates. I also tried to keep only 1 picture per thing (so, I kept one good picture of pike's peak and threw away the other 30). I put all the photos we kept in similar sized albums so they lined nicely on a shelf. (However, I used shorter sized albums and wished I had used taller ones so I could get more photos per album... but, I don't want to start over now!) We also had hundreds of photos from overseas trips. I dedicated one album per trip and reduced them to only ones that would fit in the album. It was hard to get rid of *any* photos, but I was really glad I did it. I would actually sit and look at the albums now, where before they were just overflowing in random boxes! I will do this. I think I just needed permission.
