kalanamak
I just read the instructions for tracking and hiding camp (tomorrow), and they want pants to be a dull green, brown, cami, etc. Long pants. So, I need something like a jeans material in brown or cami TODAY, for this guy wearing a 10-12. Oh, and they can't be "noisy". Before driving all over kingdom come, has anyone seen these recently? We have Sears, Target, Old Navy, Pennies, Walmart etc. near us. Thanks.
Mrs Mungo
Do you have an army/navy store? Wal-Mart will probably have them in their camping section, especially if hunting is popular in your area. Pippen
Before running all over town I'd at least check the equivalent online stores to see if they carry them in their fall line.
Jean in Newcastle
Do you have a Cabela's? I would call them.

West Coast Mom
I just bought some at Costco for my son yesterday. I saw them at Target this week. Our Old Navy seems to always have them, but I haven't been there lately.

Yes, our army/navy (aka: military surplus) stores carry kid sizes made with the real, military fabric. I just bought some at Costco for my son yesterday. I saw them at Target this week. Our Old Navy seems to always have them, but I haven't been there lately. Personally, if it is a running around in the woods thing, then I would buy the real thing over pants from Target or Old Navy. The ripstop fabric really works better for these situations. Edited August 5, 2012 by Mrs Mungo
LlamaMama
I recommend going to REI. You can call them ahead of time to see if they still have one in his size.
lcelmer
Cami pants? I totally envisioned a lacy camisole made into a pair of pants. In my area, people say camo for camouflage. :D
Tap
Grab and old pair of pants that still fit him and a box of Rit Dye. Either Dye them a solid color or have at it with spray bottles and 2 or 3 colors to make camo.

AngieW in Texas
I would expect Academy to have something like that year-round. Do you have one nearby? Another option is any hunting store. They should have plenty of camo-type clothing there.
KungFuPanda
I think she meant 'camo' :001_smile: With all of the back-to-school sales, khaki pants should be easy to come by and fairly cheap. Bonus points if you can find cargo-style pants, but I'd just put him in the cheapest khakis you can find and expect him to trash them. chepyl
I see camo pants every time I am in a thrift store. We also have an army surplus store. We are not rural, but Walmart and sports stores carry them in the hunting section.
justLisa
I'm trying to think of exactly where the army surplus stores are around. I know Redmond has one right off the highway.
