momofkhm
I know the expression "God is not surprised by this" but is there scripture to back it up? I mean like one or 2 verses. I know there is plenty of prophesy in the Bible and you can find where so much of it has come true in the past. Even a scripture that points to God as being omniscient would help. I'm just lost on the words to look up in my concordance. Thanks!
TN Mama
Perhaps this one will be of some help? Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Twinmom
I'm on the run to the airport and don't have a handy verse, but wanted to offer this: www.biblegateway.org Type in a keyword, small phrases you can remember, etc. and it will find it for you! lauranav
The Biblegateway is a great site. Of course the word surprise isn't in there. Maybe this verse at Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill? Another good one is Psalm 44:21b For he knows the secrets of the heart.
Margo out of lurking
My two favorites: Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Shenan
Habakkuk 1:5 (King James) "Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you." (NIV version) "Look at the nations and watch- and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."
