melissel Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 My DD5 (almost 6) is pretty tall, so she'll need size 7 PJs this fall. Apparently we've reached the end of the Carter's sizing :( Where else can we buy pajamas that are fleecy and warm and not outrageously priced? TIA! Quote
melissel Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 Have you tried LandsEnd? Yeah, I'm looking at at least $18 there. There are some things in the Overstocks section, but not in her size. Quote
Pajama Mama Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I don't think you can find less expensive pjs. I buy jammies from Walmart for dd7. They are usually about $10-15 each for winter ones. I buy her 2 piece fleecy pajamas usually but an occasional nightgown. If you look for them now, you might find some in the clearance section though. I remember last summer when I was shopping in JcPenney's. I found boys pajama bottoms on sale for a dollar each. These were $15 flannel pajama pants. I bought 6-8 in every size. Both of my sons have enough pajamas to last about 5 years. I just need to keep buying t-shirts. Quote
Once Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 My sister in law bought pj's from the Children's Place. They are fleecy and my kids love them. But I just googled the site and they have a recall due to too much lead in one style of pj's! So I guess that is out. Sorry. But my kids really loved them. Quote
Once Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 The lead was in the decal not the pj material. I was hunting some more. :tongue_smilie: We also buy pj's from Target. A set of two matching pairs of pj's are about $20. They can shrink up alittle but my kids don't complain. I just buy bigger sizes and they wear them loose. The cotton wears well and they wash up nice. Quote
Suzanne in ABQ Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Target has fleece sleepers all the way through size 16. They're very soft, and stay that way when you wash them. I don't remember how much they cost, but it's not outrageously expensive. Quote
clementine Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I am not a Kohl's shopper normally, but they have wonderful girls pj's. I have a 9 & 11 yr old & we get nice 2 pc. fleecy pj's there & they're always on sale. They wash up great too. Quote
newbie Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Have you tried LandsEnd? :iagree: or LL Bean. Hanna Anderson are great clothes , they last forever. I dressed my dd's in Hanna until they said stop. Jet Quote
fivetails Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I've been trying to find new summer pj's for dd11 - she wears from an 8 to a 10 usually, depending...and neither Zellers nor Walmart have any pj's in stock for girls over a size 6. Argh. They just don't have any in right now. There's nowhere else in this town to buy kids clothes, so dd11 is making good use of my old t-shirts for the time being. ;) Quote
Marie in Oh Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 you mentioned Carters, so maybe you have an outlet close with an Osh Kosh store. I've been buying my older girls, ages 9 and 7, stuff from there quite a bit. We got summer pj's for all the girls there, and I saw they are getting their fall stuff out. Quote
melissel Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Thanks everyone. I imagine that now is the worst possible time to be shopping for warm PJs too! I'll check out my options when the fall sales start to hit. In the meantime, DD's going through a phase where she MUST have something on her legs when she sleep, so I'm about to invest in a cheapo lot of leggings on eBay. Thanks for the input! Quote
Pam "SFSOM" in TN Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 My DD5 (almost 6) is pretty tall, so she'll need size 7 PJs this fall. Apparently we've reached the end of the Carter's sizing :( Where else can we buy pajamas that are fleecy and warm and not outrageously priced? TIA! Old Navy has been a pretty good source, and Land's End is consistently good. Quote
Brenda in FL Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 My kids have a lot of comfy pjs from the Disney Store. And if you shop online you can get some good bargains. (On all kinds of clothing, not just pjs). Quote
