Weekend Getaway in Colorado....

We live in the Boulder/Denver area and our 16th anniversary is coming up in a few weeks. We are huge outdoor/natural wonders people, love being around water and need somewhere not-terribly-expensive (or snooty) to go for a weekend. Cabins w/ hot tubs welcome!!! LOL

 

Suggestions?

 

I've thought of Breckenridge/Vail etc, but its a tad too commercial to me- but definitely affordable this time of year. We are at RMNP & Estes Park alot, so that's not as much of a getaway (yes, spoiled) but we know of great little cabins there. I've thought of Telluride area, but don't know much-

Salida? I have friends who love the area. I've seen privatehouses and cabins with hit tubs or private hot springs pools.

 

I love Estes, but not during tourist season to be honest....

Sand dunes area, I even had some groupons for several areas in Colorado last week. Check out groupon for some ideas.

 

I am in the search for something as well since our 15th is in Sept. :)

Yes, I've been checking Groupon & Living Social as well :) Buuut, we are going away Labor Day weekend so there are black out dates (even though our anniversary is Sept 7)
