Scholastic: 50 books for $50

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about this when I got their email, but can't find any way to find out what titles are included. Is it like a "grab bag" so they're all different? It seems like a good deal unless it turns out to be classroom sets (5 of each title).

From other posts I've seen, it is 50 different books.

Or if it's mostly twaddle:tongue_smilie:

LOL, there is that! I figure any books we already have or don't want can be used for birthday gifts and so forth. My oldest is just turning five, though, so the K-2 collection will be fine for us, I'm sure.

How do they "confirm your school"? when you are making an educator account?

When I went through checkout, there was a homeschooler option. I just clicked on that, filled in our school name and home address, and went through the normal billing process. I received an order confirmation number after checkout and an email confirmation.

Thanks so much for this! My daughter is only two but already a book addict (she learned from the best). There's a good chance we already own many of these, but I can't resist.

I'm awaiting the okay text from DH. :)

The problem for me was that there were a lot of boy books, and I have just one child-- a girl. Also there were about 10 books on a first grade level that she was never going to read. About 20 out of the 50 were interesting.
