mom31257
A friend gave me a large quantity of goat cheese and a recipe to make it garlic and chive cheese. I'm just not sure how to mix it up. I don't have a standing mixer, and I'm not sure my hand mixer will work because the cheese seems pretty stiff. How can I mix in the extras? I do have a food processor, but I've never used it to just mix something. Thanks for any advice!

kewb
I allow the cheese to get to room temp and then just use a spoon.

sourpatchbaby
Yes, when it gets to room temperature it acts and mixes just like room temperature cream cheese does.
justLisa
Do you have a potato masher? That is what I use for farmers cheese because I use it cold
mom31257
Thanks for the ideas. I wasn't sure if I should let it get to room temperature or not. And I do have a potato masher.
