peachbub
Anyone else doing SOTW and Classical Conversations next year? I'm wondering how much to dig into the mapwork, etc of SOTW since we'll be doing a lot of mapping with CC -- or is it just good reinforcement for what we're doing with CC? The activities seem fun, and my kids are in the 4-7 age range, so I think the coloring sheets while I read seems good. Just wondering if anyone else is doing this (or has already done this!) and what their plan is. Thanks!!:)
mrs.m
Honestly with the ages of your children you will need a lot of geography practice in order for them to get it. The mapwork was too difficult for my 6yo last year and I just did the best I could without over pushing. So go with the flow on that one. If they are interested and learning, keep going! Otherwise, take a break! There's always the next time through CC for mastery! SOTW chapters do not line up with CC weeks, so some will be introduction and some will be review. The coloring sheets will help but don't be surprised if only your oldest shows interest and most of all any retention with SOTW. My 9yo does not remember any of it from when he was 5. (except the Greek alphabet song... LOL!)
