motherdear
Would you consider Big Lots furniture to be a good quality? I saw a very pretty Champion Mocha Sofa today. Any experience?
Mandylubug
well, we have the Ashley "pleather" sofas. We got them on sale for like 250 each and they are three years old. Are they the best quality? No. BUT they are holding up to the wear and tear of my four wild ones. some of the cushions are slightly distorted due to wear we sit the most. I would buy them again due to the affordability. If you are wanting them to last ten years, I would say pass and go with something like Broyhill or Lazyboy, etc. eta: we got these ashley sofas from Big Lots. higginszoo
No, not great quality, definitely not anything you're likely to pass on as an heirloom, but for the most part the things that they have there will hold up for several years with no problem. thescrappyhomeschooler
I probably wouldn't think that it was good quality, but that wouldn't prevent me from buying it necessarily. Dh and I purposefully bought cheap-ish furniture because we didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that has a high probability of being destroyed by wild boys whether it's cheap or expensive. A.Balaban
I would consider it to be "good" quality - but not great. For the price of a new sofa at Big Lots, you might find a used one around the same price for a better quality brand. That was what we did -- we bought a sofa set in excellent condition off CL... it was great and it held up wonderful to the kids. We had to sell it after a year because of space, but when we sold it... we skimped out and bought a cheap futon, and about a year later it is falling apart so we are looking at replacing it again.
Denisemomof4
Good quality? No. But do you want to spend the money on good quality furniture? I chose good looking, reasonable price so i didn't have to worry about my kids on it. Now that the older kids aren't here as much, I got a more expensive sofa. FourOaks
Big Lots furniture is Ashley furniture, so if you are good with Ashley then it is just fine. I would buy it.
