Tarheel Heather
When your house won't sell at a reasonable price of 228,900... When the one beside yours is a foreclosure along with half the others in your section... When the realtor wants you to drop your price to 209... When the house the same floor plan and elevation as yours sold for 229 last fall... When there are 21 houses for sale in your section of the 'hood... When they build 500-700k$ homes in the same neighborhood down the street... When they build a whole new neighborhood of million $ homes at the entrance of your neighborhood.... That's about it! Andie
:grouphug:I'm really sorry, Heather. I know how frustrating it is, and competing with those foreclosures stinks. I hope a buyer comes along soon.

Jennifer in MI
Oh man. I'm so sorry. I feel your pain. We bought our first house in 2000 at the height of the market for $179,900. We put about $20,000 worth of work into it. We sold it last December for $142,000. It made me sick! But, we made out like bandits on the other end. Our current house had been on the market for 3 years. It started out at $549,000 (it was the average price in this neighborhood then). We got it for $290,000. It was not a foreclosure! So, will you be buying another house? Maybe you could get a steal like we did that would more than make up for the price difference in your current house? I pray yours sells soon!
