4everHis Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (putting myself out there) that, at the end of the day, 'knows' that tomorrow she'll eat better, less, healthier? And on the way home from the grocery store, where she shopped without a list, 'knows' that this week she's really going to sit down and write out a menu? And, now that it's 11:00pm, is sure that tomorrow she'll start that exercise program? I used to be so on top of things. . . . . Quote
Mothersweets Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I'm right there with ya, sister! I've been doing this for the past couple of years. I'm not sure what happened to my organized self? If you find a way to get your mojo back, let me know. :) Quote
*Lulu* Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I have a *ahem* "friend" with that problem. I try to help her, but as I type she is plotting a trip to the store for some double stuff oreos. She says she is PMSing and we should all stand back and give her what she wants. :auto: :tongue_smilie: Quote
Georgiana Daniels Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Yes...always tomorrow! Thankfully, doing better this week than last week, but I can always tell when my cravings are about to win. Quote
*Lulu* Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I get organized in fits and spurts, but then these things called "kids" and this stuff called "life" gets in th mix and it all goes to heck in a hand cart. Quote

lollie010 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Completely understand. And I AM absolutely going to turn my computer off in 20 minutes and take the kids for a walk and come home for a healthy snack. Quote

Princess Peach Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 A couple things that have helped me...one, don't try to implement all the changes at once. Try for one change at a time. And two, take things day by day. Don't be worried that you won't keep up or that you won't be able to do x, y, or z tomorrow. Just do it for today. And pretty soon, you'll be doing it everyday. Good luck! Quote

I actually DID clean my stove, shower and folded laundry so I'm not a total do nothing:) I just can't seem to get motivated to do the menu, exercise and eating less. Quote

Good luck! I used to have a 'plan.' When I was all I had to worry about that 'plan' worked out perfectly. Each minute was planned each day. . . I can't believe how long it's taking me to do exactly what you said, day by day, one thing at a time. I seem to crave order or 'Nothing.' Well, with five kids, order is a 'fleeting' thing. And at almost 50, my brain seems to have gone into 'disorder' mode. Thanks for the advice. I know it's what I need.:001_smile: Quote
