Science recommendation for 3rd and K

I would love to find a science curriculum set up like SOTW with the AG.

 

I would like to be able to combine my kids at least for experiments. I want a spine to use for science with a list of books commonly found at the library to supplement on weeks we want to learn more. I do have lots of Magic School Bus and Lets Explore Science books at home for weeks we can't make it to the library, but I want enough information in the spine we don't have to have extra books.

 

I don't want to have the search a long time for items not normally found at home. I would really like to have some choice of which experiments to do. I would like to have some worksheets (dad wants this). Christian or secular either is okay, but would prefer not young earth. If the young earth part is at the beginning and can be skipped then I would consider it.

 

I have been looking at RS4K, REAL Science, The Elements, and so many more. My dd wants to study birds this year and I think I have everything for a unit study on bird, but would like a few more experiements to go with our study. After that my dd said she would like to study baking. Has anyone found any chemistry books that focus on baking?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for or not, but we bought Easy Classical Geology, Weather and Astronomy to use this year for my DD (2nd grade age). So far we love it! My PK-er is even following along and it is easily adaptable to her.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like that might meet some of what you need. No books that I've seen on the connection between baking and chemistry, but I'm sure there's some out there. Have you seen Magic School Bus Ready,Set, Dough? I think that's the right name. It's about baking. I love the idea of combining baking and learning about chemistry.
