Jumping In Puddles Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Last night, my son fell about 5-6 feet off a playground ladder onto wood chips. He cried and I carried him home. He stopped crying and limped to bed. No problem through the night and he got up this morning limping and saying his leg was sore. There is not any swelling but there is a bruise about 4 inches below his knee. He is not constantly complaining - just limping. If his leg was broken, I would know it right? FTR, I have never broken a bone so I'm not exactly sure but he would be really crying and screaming if it were broken right? Should I take him to the Dr.? Quote
Jennifer in MI Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 My ds walked (well, limped) on a broken ankle for a week before we took him in. His would get better and then worse again. He even pitched a baseball game on it! Ack! Ds also had very little swelling and no bruising. Anyway, yes, he could've broken his leg/ankle, etc. I would call the doctor just for piece of mind. If it's not broken, maybe he can give you ideas as to how to make it feel better! :grouphug: Quote
Marie in Oh Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 for three weeks before they knew. Like Jennifer said, it was on again off again. I think I would be better safe than sorry. Quote
