hswarden Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Last year I read a lot of Mark Twain I'd never read before, and was hard pressed to choose my favorite--The Guilded Age and The American Claimant in particular were wonderful books. But his Autobiography, from which this seems to come, was very beautiful and moving to me. Unfortunately I only have been able to find one of the volumes. Thanks for pointing me back to Project Gutenberg! Quote
Kimber Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 I haven't read nearly as much of Mark Twain as I'd like to read. Time seems to move too fast. In fact, I've just fallen in love with Jane Austen's books. For years, I ignored them because I thought they'd be sappy. I though the same with Bronte. Man was I ever wrong. My top priority next year is to make time for my own reading material, not just books that are pertinent to material I'm teaching. I check gutenberg often, just to see what gems are out there. I love that site. Quote
