Denise in Florida
I have been shopping for dd18's dorm room. We found some nice xl twin sheets at Target and they are labelled Organic Micro Fiber. How are sheets organic? No pesticides on the cotton? All natural materials?
Sharon H in IL
That makes no sense. Microfiber is ultra-fine-spun polyester.
Parrothead
If they are cotton then the sheets were grown organically. Did you notice the USDA organic symbol on the package? I'm not sure about microfiber. I don't think that is organic.
Parrothead
Denise, could you post a link?
Denise in Florida
ooops, one set was 'organic' and one set was 'micro fiber', they were on the same label. That makes more sense.:o
radiobrain
That means that the sheets will be almost twice as expensive as the others.
WishboneDawn
That means that the sheets will be almost twice as expensive as the others. :iagree::lol::lol::lol: This is why I ignore labels like that. My local thrift store has sheets and that's where I buy mine thereby making them a lower impact purchase then the most green, organic, natural new sheets in any store. Melissa in Australia
not sure what it means in your country. We have an organic cotton mattress. It was made in a specialty factory that makes mattress specifically for people with severe allergies. We got it because my DH has Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. It is organic because the cotton was grown chemical free, and the whole processing of the cotton and mattress manufacturer was done chemical free. before this mattress we had a wool futon mattress not organic, but free of chemicals in manufacturing. bookfiend
It's important if you mean to eat the sheets; otherwise, not so much.
