Susan in TN
Does this happen every year? Trying to get things ready for the coming year and being overwhelmed. Then panicking over the activities that haven't even started up yet - dance classes and AHG for the girls, Scouts for the boys, band and orchestra, choir, music lessons. Trying to teach Suzuki lessons to 3 of my own - it's been a challenge this summer, can't even imagine how we'll get it done when we have school as well. Oh, and piano. Can I convince myself to let dance and AHG go by the wayside - for the younger girls at least? Then I start second guessing all our educational choices for our oldest. Should we have put him in a tutorial? What about the one his friends attend? (Too late to enroll now, anyway). We need to start visiting colleges, ds doesn't really know for sure what he wants to study, or he knows but is being non-committal. And then there's PSAT, ACT, SAT testing. And Eagle Scout board of review. And auditions. How do moms of several kids keep their sanity? Why don't I have any chocolate in the house? On Tuesday, as I sat at the table surrounded by books, I was so close to enrolling my boys in K12 this year. Then I realized they'd have to drop another program that they love. But I did enough that K12 has called and emailed a couple of times. 2. Because I ate it.
Mrs.Gregg
This was me earlier this week! I even made out a sample schedule to see if we could *get it all done*. Writing it down made me realize I have one more time. As for the second quessing I went and worked in the garden. We've made our choices, they are sound and I'm done. The grass will always be greener on the other side so I'm going to just plant flowers and stop looking at the grass.
Susan in TN
2. Because I ate it. I'm having to make due with gjetost (Norwegian brown cheese) and animal crackers. Not too bad, but still not chocolate. It helps to bite the heads off first, then the legs, then gobble the rest of the animal. mom2scouts
I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one making myself crazy like this. I am overwhelmed with all the things coming up this year. Sorry, I guess I'm not much help.

God's plan for our family will not look like his plan for other families, as wonderful as they might be. :)
Night Elf
I have these kinds of moments throughout the school year. We school year round and move in to the next subject once one is done. Then we're at the beginning of something and that throws the rest of our classes off. As far as activities, I wish I had the problem of choosing. We only have one option for an outside opportunity and it's not a great fit at that. I'm stressing over whether or not to even attempt it when my gut is telling me it's doomed to fail.
