ALB
I'm thinking of getting a second grade level MP Lit guide for just one or two books. Could I do it with just the student guides, or would I need to purchase the teacher's guide to make it work? I'm assuming the TM may have discussion questions that aren't in the student guide, but I don't especially want to buy the whole 2nd grade TM when I'm just going to do a book or two. Heidi
I would try googling "(name of book) literature guides" first. There a lot of free guides online.
nancyb
Mine are a couple of years old but the teacher's guide was really only an answer book and I don't think you need it. You should email MP to be sure. They have great customer service.
SilverMoon
Call MP or post on their forum. They have split parts out if needed, and they're a very helpful bunch in general. :)
sleeplessnights
I don't buy the teacher's manuals. Sometimes they state the definitions/answers more eloquently than I would, but I really don't use them.

Good to know! That was the main thing holding me back from making the purchase, but if I can do it with just the student guides then we'll give them a try.
