journey00
Hi. I'm considering either Homeschool Connections or HistoryatourHouse starting in September. We would like it to be Catholic and I know HAOH is secular. I'm also wrestling with a 10 week class (HSC) vs. all year (HAOH). I watched the HAOH sample and I have to say he is very engaging while the HSC didn't seem to be quite as much. I'm just wondering what others have to say who have taken classes with them. Any opinions on Lady of Perpetual classes (LPH)? I did a forum search but did not find anything. Thank you!!! Edited July 11, 2012 by journey00 Punctuation..typing on my iPhone. Avila
I have a mixed review of Homeschool Connections. The administrators are truly wonderful people. We took the algebra readiness camp this summer, and it was a very good class. The instructor was well-prepared, related well to the kids, and gave good instructions and feedback. We would definitely take a class with her again. However, we had a different experience with their middle school writing instructor last spring. The class part was good, as were the handouts. But we had some serious issues with the grading and feedback, either not being very detailed or timely, and in some case, not receiving feedback at all. It was handled very well by the administrators, but I would hesitate to take another class with this instructor, and she teaches quite a few of their classes. I would definitely be willing to try them again for other subjects and use their other instructors. Edited July 12, 2012 by Asenik
