Aaauugghh! I'm trying to simplify, and I've lost LCC!

Recommended Posts

Either it's here, somewhere, lost amidst my thousands of books, or I loaned it to someone and have no record of it. I have no idea. I read that there is a new edition out - would it be worth buying it or should I just keep searching? I don't know if that's the approach I want to take or not. I just know I'm overwhelmed, partly because I have so many books. What to do, what to do?

That would be an emergency!!! Did you look under the nightstand? Did you accidentally list it on the swap board? Did you ship it to Drew to be autographed?

I would continue to search and then buy the 2nd edition, even if you find the 1st. I find them both very valuable. :grouphug:

Does your library have a copy?

I can ship mine to Drew to be autographed? It has changed my life!

It isn't under the night stand or the bed. I might have sold it, but I can't find a Paypal record of it, nor any saved emails. I know I didn't ship it to be autographed! My library does not have a copy. Unfortunately, now my entire basement is covered with piles of books, as I decided to organize the shelves while I looked. Things had gotten out of place, so I thought a little re-ordering was called for. Now, however, it's just a mess that's even more overwhelming that what I had before, and I still didn't find my book.

Here's what you do.

Go to your head librarian, and tell her how wonderful this book is, and how you really, really really want the library to get the 2nd edition of LCC.

Tell her you'll bake them some chocolate chip cookies. I have it on good authority that librarians love chocolate chip cookies. :001_smile:

Then your library will have the 2nd edition, you'll get to pore over it, and the 1st edition will mysteriously appear as you re-organize your shelves at your leisure.
