Essentials in Writing

I would love to hear from those who are or have used this! I never heard it it before today. I watched a few sample lessons and liked what I saw. If you use this could you please give a review?

 

If you looked at this and/or used it and decided against using it I'd love to hear why.

We have used this just this past year. So far, this is my son's favorite writing program. Keep in mind we have never used IEW, but several others. He sees it as similar to MUS for math - the instructor goes over the lesson and he does the assignment. We used the grammar portion as review only (and only did the areas that I felt he needed reinforcement on) - I mainly got this program for the writing portion though. I compared each of the grades 5-8 and decided based on what was covered in the writing portion to go with that "grade" not what grade my son was in. HTH
