Osmosis Mom
on what is happening in Syria and why the lack of support for its diverse population. Just interesting and food for thought as we raise our children to become world citizens (or not) and extend a hand and heart to others (or not). http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012/07/2012710172614755319.html?utm_content=automate&utm_campaign=Trial6&utm_source=NewSocialFlow&utm_term=plustweets&utm_medium=MasterAccount

mommaduck
I have to admit that I don't understand any of it. Probably because I know nothing of the sides involved, etc.
stripe
The lack of understanding about the continuing ramifications of colonialism is somewhat predictable, but it's sad when the concern for a country only extends as far as the capacity to sell products, especially weapons, to the government, even if that government uses them to keep the population quiet. I am really hoping people from the many countries around the world who are brutalized by dictators, are able to live with freedom and justice in the very near future. astrid
Thank you for posting this, Nadia. My heart hurts for all the injustice in the world. astrid
mommaduck
Another question (based off of what someone posted on the thread about your daughter, thankfully the comment was deleted): if this is just human rights violations, then why would someone have something against money being used to help? (you can pm if you want...anyone from either side)
