mrshomework
I am looking into supplementing WWE 3 next year with some type of writing workbook I have been looking at Core Skills: Writing workbooks by Steck Vaughn and was wondering if any one had ever used them before for Writing. I found them on the Hartcourt catalog but I can't find any review on them they are available thru Amazon as well. I am also looking at Spectrum Writing any thoughts good or bad. Thanks. CyndiLJ
We used Core Skills books for the first year my daughters were home after being adopted and needing to learn English. They were solid, I felt, and would work well as a supplement or even a mostly full curriculum. However, they could get tedious and I get bored with that sort of approach myself! Haha! They were NOT Walmart-y books, but real curriculum. We used writing, reading comprehension, etc. and overall found them to be a good resource!
