praisefor3
We aren't typical Sonlight users. In fact, the only thing I've ordered from them is the microscope. But I do like looking at the catalog. We are considering using the 5th grade science for ds5th this year. DH thought that the program seemed a "bit much" but I'm thinking it could be a good fit. Either way, how difficult would it be for us to just pull out this one subject for ds and be able to use it having never used Sonlight before? And is this specific one a quality course? hsmom
I just bought this for next year. (I bought is used, in like new condition) It is a science that you will have to do 4 - 5 days a week, the books are not huge or anything. So, from what I have seen by looking it all over and going over the IG, I think it is just the right amount of info for a full year program. We are really looking forward to starting it. Jenny in Atl
We liked it. The books were great, Blood and Guts, The Human Body bk, History of Medicine, etc. I added the DK Encyclopedia of the Human Body as well. We did this in 5th and dd, 10 at the time, did not find it too much. It's a stand alone part of the core and would not be hard to use if you have never used their materials before. All is very clear and well planned out.
Bee
We did it 2 years ago.I actually like the look of the program this year better ,with the new books they added.Definitely one that I will do again.
Willow
I have done it in the past, so probably an older version. I found some sheets a little repetitive for my advanced dd. It was good though, just check you aren't repeating work in a different way if you child doesn't need to.
