sandellie4 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 We have a Dyson vacuum cleaner, the pet hair model, and everything is working fine (motor sounds okay, etc.) but the hose for crevice and stair cleaning. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? I can't find a clog or anything but I'm not even sure of where all I should look for one. Is it probably a clog or is this common with Dysons? Sandy I had that problem with mine. I finally found a spilt in the hose up in the plastic piece where the attachments are connected to the hose. Dyson was also great to work with. I called because I didn't know if the vacuum was still under warranty or not. It turns out it wasn't so I thanked them and hung up. I figured I would have to spend the $50 for a new hose, but less than a week after I called a package arrived at my house. It was a new hose from Dyson! I was so surprised. I figured my dh had ordered it from somewhere, but he hadn't. I loved my vacuum before this, but after this great service I am even more impressed. :) Anyway, check the hose that is up in the plastic piece and see if there is a split. HTH Quote
sandellie4 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 Thanks, Deece! I'll check that out (mine won't be under warranty either, though). I've checked the website but everything I've tried has turned up nothing. Sandy Quote
clwcain Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Dyson has never hassled us about warranty when we've called in with repair or part replacement requests. Depending on the part sometimes we pay for it, sometimes we just pay shipping, sometimes it just arrives...I don't try to figure it out anymore. We've very happy. Quote
