Teaching Textbooks and MUS?

Ds 13 has been using MUS since January, and he's been doing great. We were looking at the TT website the other day,and he did some of the sample problems and loved it. I was just wondering how these two programs compared with each other? I'd like to let him be somewhat involved in choosing his curriculum, but I also want it to be a program that works for him. Has anyone made this switch before?

Stephanie,

Everytime you post about your 13 year old son, I always think how much he is like my 12 year old son. My son did MUS up until the beginning of 6th grade. He really did well with it, but hit a wall when he reached Zeta. We switched to TT and it has been wonderful. Yesterday, he said that he is doing TT for the rest of his life!! I sure hope not!! I liked TT7 better then Pe-Algebra, but we still think it is great.

Thanks so much for saying. We would be starting Zeta as well. I'm going to look into it a little further. I sure would like for him to enjoy his math, and do well. Thanks!
