Need Suggestions for a Good Printer

Recommended Posts

My HP all-in-one is chugging up her final hill and it is time to put the old girl out of her misery.

Now that I am in the market for a new printer, I would love some suggestions. I spent a lot of money on ink for the old printer. It seemed like every time I turned around it was low on ink. Does anyone know of a printer that doesn't guzzle ink? LOL

I just posted a thread like this, only looking for a laser printer to replace my ink jet, and was given a recommendation for the brother brand. I found one for $89 at Amazon, but could get it for $109 (today!) at Walmart...I ordered it at Walmart and will drive down and pick it up tonight. Yea! No more INK!!

Oh my!!! :) I was looking for this same info. A friend of dh have us a desktop today and now we just need a printer. I definitely want one that is easy on ink because right now we are using math mammoth and kiss grammar, which will all be complete print outs for 2 dc. With that in mind I really need to try to save my pocketbook a little. :D Anyway I'll be following this thread for suggestions.

Okay, so I'm assuming this is the printer you are talking about. It's seems like the only laser jet that is 109.00. it is the Brother HL-2240DW. The question I have is what is the replacement toner. All the ones I see say they are compatible with the 2240 and the 2240D but I don't see DW. Do you think it would be the same toners???
