Kirch
We finally got the insurance-adjusted bill for ds1's hospital visit in April--a little more than $5,000. Our deductible is $5,400. My OB office requires payment up front, preferably by 27 wks--$2900. That was going to be a huge stretch for us--we chose a higher deductible with the thought that we could work out a longer-term payment plan if necessary. But now the deductible will be taken care of (between what we have already paid at the OB and the hospital bill) and we should be able to work out payments with the hospital that will be easier to make than what we were scrambling to come up with for the OB. And we shouldn't have too much more to pay to the OB beyond what we've already paid. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it took a load off of my mind today! :)

Mommyof4ks
Great news! I know what you mean, once we reach $5000 our insurance covers 100%, so it is nice to know it is done for the year (we have a high ded. plan).
Kirch
We need to sit down with everyone and let them know that if anyone's going to have any major medical stuff, they need to get it in by Dec. 31!:D
