love2read
Went to pan fry an egg this morning and the whites started to get a green cast to it. I never saw this before and wish we still had chickens.
Firefly
I know hard boiled eggs can take on a greenish cast if over cooked, but I've never heard of that happening to a fried egg. Ick...
love2read
There were four in the pan and only one took on a neonish green color. The yolk stayed yellow. We tossed it.
Farrar
That happened once at my grandmother's to the scrambled eggs - greenish tinge. I tasted and they were very weird. But I'm pretty sure in that case it was the pan, which was older nonstick and I'm pretty sure it was putting out some weird chemical something. We made her throw it away.
