TammyinTN Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 That just makes me mad! There's a special place for people who hurt animals! Quote
Dayle in Guatemala Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Ugh. That's absolutely horrible. I don't understand that kind of evil. Quote
unsinkable Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Warning to sensitive people: I didn't get past the headline. Maybe the OP can update and post a warning. It is a shocking headline. Quote
sdWTMer Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 I'm sorry. Can't update the title. I'll let your post speak for the thread. Quote
sdWTMer Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Wrong about not being able to change the title...I'll do it now. Quote
Doran Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 It is brutal and horrifying that anyone would do this. Yet, at the same time, I'm struck by a counter point. We do this in our own fashion all the time if we are meat eaters at all. Yes, supposedly the killing process is more humane, and it is not meant as an act of violence as was the case here. Nor are meat animals someone's pet. ALSO...I am not a vegetarian, so I'm not putting these thoughts out there to advocate a meatless diet. But, the truth is, we slaughter animals all the time for the sake of our stomachs and that seems okay. It's just a little strange, you know? I'm so sorry for this family. It is a tragedy that people can create so many ways to be cruel, and that there is so much anger in the world. Quote
astrid Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 There are no words. Truly. That poor, poor dog. What kind of a sick mind could do that? :crying: Astrid Quote
Elisabeth in IL Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Yuck!!! I'd be worried. There is a very sick person in the neighborhood or visiting the neighborhood. Everyone needs to keep an eye on their kids and pets!! Quote

But, was he cut or torn, like it says in the article? Could it have been an animal? Still how horrible and horrific!! I don't get people! Whoever it is, can you so psycopath? &, OK, I am a vegetarian, raised that way, completely against leather, fur, etc, and this was particularly horrible because it was a pet, and soooo cruel, but if you had any idea of how they kill some animals for meat (you should see what KFC does to chickens, including putting them live in boiling pots of water), how they kill lobsters, calves, and so much more, and fur? Society goes on and on about cats & dogs, what about cows, sheeps, etc? And, for all those cat & dog lovers, take a look at Iams, and their testing on cats & dogs (they have info on PETA that I usually won't look at because they are so extreme, but they do help so much--but I went there recently to look something up, and am glad to have, because they showed how sick Iams is--they say they don't test on animals because they don't test on OTHER animals, but they do on cats & dogs and it is SICK SICK SICK!!!). We do live in a sick world, and, unfortunately, animals sometimes bear the brunt of it. Quote
