I think we might have started school today?

I was going to start next week. So today, I have been having the kids get their desks ready. Then I sat them down to talk about what they would like to do more of this year. We got out some of the new texts we are using. We read a few poems to whet their appetites for the poetry unit.

 

Now I have them sitting at their desks writing down what they would like to be studying, what they think they should be studying to have a good education, what their goals are for the year, and how they envision their day to be laid out.

 

Hmm, that looks suspiciously like a first day of school, doesn't it? Surprise on me, I think we have started:lol:.

Well, Bon Voyage! Sounds like you're off to a great year! Bravo! My schoolroom is still a mess, and I'm still trying to find the time to get dd to do the final review in her Singapore Math book! It's our busy show season, so between dog shows, dog health issues, softball season, 4-H, and the start of her summer drama camp, I hope we can squeak it in before she forgets it all!
