HappyGrace
Looking for a quicker way to do my floors (they are laminate-kitchen and bath), that is easy for the kids (age 12 and 9) to do them too. Do you like the Swiffer Wet Jet? Pros/cons? Is there anything better out there for this job? Thanks :)
Carrie12345
I prefer my shark steam mop. No chemicals, and no expensive refills.
Dory
I like my Norwex mop. No chemicals, no water bucket, and it dries pretty fast.
TravelingChris
I like the shark too. It worked well.
Cinder
We have a Swiffer and the cleaner solution that comes with it gives me a headache. My only other quick cleaning method is to spritz water on the floor and skate over it with a microfiber cloth for each foot. :tongue_smilie:

We use a Swiffer, but with tile I have to scrub the grout every so often anyways. The swiffer is good for light cleaning, but not much more. Occasionally
I bought this Rubbermaid one recently. I like that I can mix up my own solution for it.
ksr5377
I also like the Shark Steam Mop. I used to have the Swiffer, and it was easy to use, but I thought it seemed like the floors were somewhat sticky afterwards from cleaner residue. WishboneDawn
I bought this Rubbermaid one recently. I like that I can mix up my own solution for it. :iagree: I wouldn't even consider a Swiffer with the Rubbermaid available. My husband bought a Swiffer and it now lives in a downstairs closet because of the hassle of having to use the Swiffer refills. The Rubbermaid one is the same idea, but better. justLisa
I have the Bona and I love it.
Bang!Zoom!
I have the Bissell steam mop, and that dang thing gets HOT! I tried to find a photo of it, but I don't think they make it anymore, it was around 150.00-I'm really glad we have it now though, took some talking me into at first. Princess Peach
I like the wetjet for quick once overs a couple times a week. I made pads from microfiber cloths that I toss in the washing machine. I don't mind the solution.
HappyGrace
Oh, shoot, I wouldn't want to use the Swiffer solution. Hmm....none of these that have been mentioned in this thread really get very good reviews on Amazon!! All of them have some good reviews but an almost equal amount of horrible reviews. prairiewindmomma
Had the swiffer; dumped it for the bona spray mop.
meena
I bought this Rubbermaid one recently. I like that I can mix up my own solution for it. I bought this one a few months ago to replace our Wet Jet. I have always hated the Swiffer solution for its excessive cost, waste, and smell, so I like the ability to use my own natural cleaner. My only complaint about the Rubbermaid mop is that the solution bottle will sometimes fall out if the mop is turned too far sideways. Overall, it is a great way to do daily maintenance cleaning and is very easy for my children to use.
nukeswife
I bought this Rubbermaid one recently. I like that I can mix up my own solution for it. This one is nice, but just a warning, if you let your kids use it make sure they know to remove the pad after using it and toss it in the wash. Mine used it to clean up a milk spill and didn't take the cloth off, well the cloth got nasty and moldy and STUNK!!! Even after repeated washings I couldn't get that smell out. Overall, it is a great way to do daily maintenance cleaning and is very easy for my children to use. I specifically bought it so my DD8 could do the wood floors. Do you make sure to "click" the bottle down when you use it? There's a rubber gasket on mine that makes it fit pretty darn well. Rene'
I have a Swiffer Wet Jet - love it. I crocheted a washable pad that ties onto it, and I looked online and found how to unscrew the lid so I refill with my own cleaning solution. I've had it over two years and have not had to buy any pads or cleaner.
Marylou
Have you looked on the bottle of Swiffer solution? It says something like, "Do not use near children or pets" I didn't know that until the lady at the dollar store pointed it out to me. Go with a steam mop--no chemicals and a better clean. Susan C.
I LOVE dry swiffers, we dust with them, and I have the deal that hooks to them to make them a dry mop. HATE the wet swiffers, dirt unites with the wet solution and dries and it is not easy scraping that all up.

Dustybug
I prefer my shark steam mop. No chemicals, and no expensive refills. :iagree::iagree::iagree: My mom bought me mine two years ago for Christmas. Best.gift.ever. I LOVE it! I have all hardwood and tile floors and use it all the time.
annlaura
I use the Libman Freedom Spray mop. I use vinegar and water in it, and think it's fine.
Kelly1730
I use the Libman Freedom Spray mop. I use vinegar and water in it, and think it's fine. This is what I use. I like making my own cleaning solution but I have a hard time getting the pads clean and the cost $6.99 EACH to replace!
