I want to have some "challenges" for my kids on the way. Something to keep them busy. a) Word from license plates: just what it sounds like. Whomever creates the most amount of words from license plates wins. They will write the words into a journal. b) ABC signs: get the most letters of the alphabet from road signs. You can only get one letter from each sign. c) License plate states: collect the most number of different state's license plates. d) ?? any other thoughts? kricau Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Hmmm... no idea on the prizes. But I do have another game for you. When we were young we used to take long car trips with my Mom & Grammie. Well my Grammie made this game kind of like the sign/license plate game. She took a stack of index cards and glued pictures, cut out of magazines, to them. The pictures were of things that you might see on the road: cow, farm, school, produce stand, bus, truck, etc. She would divide out the stack amoung us and whoever spoted everything in their stack first would win :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Some glow sticks for when it gets dark? Honestly, I don't care what the prizes....just that they are under $20 or so. I hadn't thought of Mad libs....though I think my son might be over those.
