Tap
DD13 walked to the park with no shoes on today. She has a burn on her heal and going into her arch, a little smaller that the size of a regular bandaid (it is hot out). maybe 1 1/2 inches by 3/4. It has blistered and popped. I sent her upstair to wash and bandage it, but I worry about infection. Is there any special wound care we can do to help it heal without infection? I have bactroban ointment so I will have her use that (stronger than neo/polysporin)...any other ideas?
Starr
The best burn medicine is a prescription from a doctor.

Starr
:tongue_smilie:A friend's child had a foot burn once and it turned green around the edges. I won't describe the scrubbing it needed once she saw a doctor.
