Shelly in VA
How do you decide whether or not to submit these scores during college applications? Several of the schools dd (rising senior) is considering require 2-3 SAT II scores. She has taken four SAT II tests, in an effort to show some cross-curricular skills, and her scores are great on Literature (700s), good on Biology M and Math 1 (600s), but weak on World History (500s -- 40th percentile). Now, I'm annoyed w/ her b/c she didn't prep, and b/c she has had rigorous history for 11 years now ;), but mainly b/c she didn't prep. Is the score good enough to show to schools, or is a 40th percentile best left unsubmitted? On an unrelated subject, how do I get this kid, whose strength very clearly lies in the liberal arts/language arena, to consider a career other than nursing, when math and science are not her strength or her passion?!! I'll make another post for that. :D Thank you!!

She could retake it in October and still have scores to use for admissions. Or she could do an SAT reasoning test in Oct and the SAT2 in Nov. Shelly in VA
Good suggestions. I hadn't considered the SAT reasoning test. She says she won't retake the test, b/c it was so random. :banghead: I say spending even a few hours prepping would do amazing things for her score. Not sure how this one will play out in the end. :) Thanks for the input.
