Guest Virginia Dawn
drink tea, watch t.v., or eat ice cream during the board break? :D I went out side and watched my 9yo finally ride a bike without falling over (yeah!) and then I got in half an hour of school planning. Kay in Cal
Hmmm... I watched the kids watch TV. We're packing (ugh!) and need them still and sedate. It isn't working.

Kathleen in VA
I proofread the newsletter I copy edit weekly, listened to an mp3 by Rick Boyer of thelearningparent.com, made a pot of coffee and drank a cup, put a book on hold at the public library (The Education of a Wandering Man by Louis L'Amour), read some old Real Simple Magazines a friend gave me, and listened to a heavy duty downpour beat against my house - cozy:). Testimony
When? I was away doing ministry way out in the boonies where there is no phone, TV, or internet. There is no access to them. What did I miss while I was away last week? Blessings, Karen http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/testimony

elegantlion
I had a small panic attack. I had already eaten ice cream, TV was lame and now I'm drinking tea. Their subliminal adverstising worked, I wanted tea with dinner. :D
Gretchen in NJ
I realized how addicted I am to this board and my new found cyber friends. I check the board for the first ten minutes and then thought ice cream might be just the ticket. Since it was dinner time, I cooked dinner and feed my family. Still no board. Had Ice cream. Still no board. Panic set in. Had a cup of tea. Then the board was all better. I think the board was waiting for me to have a cup of tea.:001_huh:
Cheryl in NM
It was like at the end of EDTv. What will we do now!? I watched TV and crocheted. Still missed the boards, though! I'm so glad the powers that be got us going quickly!
kalanamak
I assisted kiddo on his first legos kit, pulled the dirty tee shirt off hubby before he took *my* car to the nursery for more plants, bought a wedding present for a step-niece online, made a grilled cheese sanny for kiddo, cleaned out everything under my bed, shoved two bags into hubby's hands on the way out the door and begged him to drop them off at Goodwill, put tips for cabin crew into well marked envelopes for hubby and kiddo's cruise this month (hubby is functionally illiterate and needs such things done for him), made up a first aide kit for same trip and resalted the fish we are mummifying. Now to cook dinner, pack a lunch for tomorrow, do our math, write out a scut list for tomorrow and call the ward about my diabetics who are all too high or too low. Typical Sunday, except I got an hour nap!!

LaMere Academy
I didn't know there was one. We watched Wimbledon men's finals, then I made dinner and then read aloud to the children. After that we watched Disney channel.
Aubrey
Ack! And I was *so* proud of myself for staying away so long! LOL I've been working on lesson plans, cleaning out a closet, & catch-up hist lessons. (You do mean *today,* right?) BTW, if you want to do potato printing ala Gutenberg, the letters have to be carved into the potato backwards.
kalanamak
:iagree: I'm especially impressed with her tending to that fish mummy :). smells when there are drying fish? Like that, but the moment I lift off the cover the smell fades, and the critter itself is not stinky. Well, I didn't get dinner cooked. I'm too tired to eat and kiddo is getting what he wanted: blueberries, applesauce, Ak Mak crackers smeared in cream cheese and a single ("I just want one") mini-carrot. Hubby had an equipment malfunction with a can of foamsulate (expanding foam insulation...he is redoing the bathroom and was covering the inverted tub with it) and the rec room looks like there was a p*rn* movie made there...whipped cream and all. He is too irritated to eat. I hear chips and salsa in his future, long after I'm dead to the world. This weekend was the first anniversary of my mother's death. I only got out the doll's clothes she made me (and I didn't use because I hated dolls) once, but I still wished I could talk to her on the phone. 'Night all. momofkhm
I figured that was long enough for tea or ice cream and came back. The board was still down. So then I watched tv with the kids. DS wanted to watch Star Wars I. Then he went to bed. Middle dd wanted to watch - what did we watch? I think with her it was just tv - Olympic Trials for a while. Oldest wanted to watch LOTR Fellowship, the extended version. Somewhere in all that the board came back, everyone but me wen to bed and I watched some grown up tv, repeats of course. :tongue_smilie:
Unicorn.
LOL! You want some irony? I sat down at the computer w/ my ice cream, and couldn't even tell dear old Bob that I was already eating my ice cream- TYVM!

Mom2boys
The Board was down? Really? We were at a cook-out. Didn't even know. No tea or ice cream, but I did have a yummy piece of homemade apple pie.
Kay in Cal
We're moving---but just locally. From Chatsworth to Encino. We've just got a chance to live in a bigger parsonage at the next church up (the new pastor is single and doesn't want to live there). Less commute.
