learningmama
I just remembered this book the other day. I read it in 6th grade and the teacher did a great job with the book, complete with having the students design their own mystery scavenger hunt. Have any of you had your kids read this? tammyw
Funny you mention this. I just myself finished reading it only a week ago. I do plan to have my dd9 read it soon. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit challenging to figure out all the clues and who was who, but yes, a good book.

mom&nana
Yes, my dd and I read it last year and LOVED it!
MouseBandit
Had one of my older sons read it back in middle school. Still have my own copy from when I was a kid. We loved stories like that! Would love to hear recommendations for other books like The Westing Game, too! Tracey in Oregon
warneral
We had a hard time keeping the characters straight during conversations as a read aloud. Mid way through we switched to the audio withNJeff Woodman as narrator and he did a great job with 15 different voices.
edeemarie
One of the few books I actually remember reading (and loving) growing up. I think in a few years my oldest will love it!
Chrysalis Academy
I just handed it to Miss P but she hasn't started it yet. Would it be more fun as a read aloud?
Artichoke
We love the Westing Game!
Joani
Thanks for the reminder about this book! I remember my two older kids loving it, so I'll have to dig it out and sneak it onto Dss 9's reading shelf. :)
Caitilin
Ds11 read it for school last winter--he loved it! A book that has some elements on common with it is A Spiderweb for Two: A Melendy Mystery by Elizabeth Enright.

EmmaNadine
I still have my copy from when I was younger sitting on my bookshelf to read with my son when he is old enough.
newhsmom
One of my favorites. When I was teaching I made up a chart to help the kids keep up with the characters and clues. I can't remember what it looked like exactly, but it seemed to help keep up with all the details.
Kathryn
I loved that book! I made a model of the the apartment building for my school project on it.
