im sad!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm sad! We are adopting a little guy with down syndrome in europe and were hoping to travel this july/early august and heard from my agency yesterday and it is going to be at least september. I know it's not that much longer and he will be home soon but i was soooo looking foward to hugging him and bringing him home...and now it's longer to wait.

Hugs and positive thoughts would be appreciated!

Sorry you have to endure this! When we adopted our dd, it took over a year longer than it was estimated when we accepted her referral. It was the hardest wait of my life - a pregnancy wihtout a due date!

omg!!!! That's terrible!!! I should stop complaining right now!!!

I am so sorry! :( The waiting is just. so. hard.

yes, yes it is! It's so frustrating b/c we have done everything we can do here, so nothing to keep me busy (besides you know, my 3 other kids)

Hang in there, I'm sure the wait will be worth it! :grouphug:

I know he will!!!

Thanks for all the love everyone, it really cheered me up!

I'm so sorry. Been there, done it, got the t-shirt.... I'd always imagined that as months ebbed into years the heartbreak would go away but...it's left a permanent mark I think. :group hug: Looking forward to hearing that your family is together under one roof. Adoption is certainly not for the faint of heart.

:grouphug: I'm so sorry.

We've btdt too and it is hard. We had a 6 week delay bringing our son home. There was some unknown hold up at the embassy. We did get our congressman involved after 5 weeks and the paperwork issue was 'mysteriously' cleared up the next day and he was home a week later.

I know it seems like forever. :grouphug: And one more bump in the road is no fun. My suggestion would be to keep yourself as busy as possible preparing.
