HappyGrace
It is called Peace Like a River by Leif Enger. You can read the blurb, etc, on Amazon. It was SUCH a good book. The prose is just lovely too. (and I am a plot girl, just give me a plot and skip any prose. But I enjoyed the prose in this!) It's a national bestseller and tons of excellent reviews by top reviewers, so I'm probably (as usual) late to the party on this one but wanted to put it out there in case someone was looking for a good book! (as I always am!) (Also, I am conservative and Christian so I'm picky about reading material but this was just clean and fine.)
Eileen Aroon
I read that last year and I agree it is wonderful. For some reason it reminded me of To Kill A Mockingbird.

ThisIsTheDay
Thanks, I'll be adding it to my "to read" list!
Kelly1730
Thank you for this. As a conservative Christian, it can be hard to find a good book, I really appreciate your review and endorsement;) I put it on my reserved list at the library. I have one book going and one waiting so hopefully I'll get to it before long.

plansrme
I have given away probably 6 or 7 copies of this, and "to a man," everyone to whom I have given a copy has turned around and given one to at least one other person. It is that kind of book. Terri

Bensmom
I was given a free copy a few months ago. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. A great read!
