Aludlam
I'm putting together our study of Modern History. I'm kind of random in an orderly way when I arrange people. If their life doesn't already center around a major event (ie WWII, etc) I usually pick a significant moment in their lives (Einstein:1921 - Nobel Prize --- Babe Ruth:1927- 60th home run). Where would you put Louis Armstong? We will most probably just read a bit about him off of the net and then listen to music. Which date sticks out to your guys? Thanks! Mrs Mungo
Jazz was most popular during the Roaring Twenties. Armwtrong played at The Cotton Club off and on for years. "Ain't Misbehavin" hit it big in 1929. The first really big movie he was in was Pennies from Heaven with Bing Crosby in 1936. He appeared on the cover of Time in 1949. In 1964 he dislodged The Beatles from the number one spot on the charts with "Hello, Dolly!" Edited June 13, 2012 by Mrs Mungo

Spy Car
I would put Louis Armstrong in 1927, the year he and his Hot Seven released "Potato Head Blues." Bill
