Do you always do the "sensitivity test" before trying a new haircolor?

Recommended Posts

I've been coloring my hair for several years (Clairol and Revlon) and decided to try a more natural product (Naturtint). I just pulled out the directions, and I had forgotten the skin test! I need my hair colored before an event tomorrow afternoon!

Would you risk it? Is a 24 (as opposed to 48) hour result of any use?

Never done it.

And I've never visited a professional colorist who dabbed on a bit of dye and told me to come back in 24 hours, either.

FWIW, there was a thread about this a while back, and iirc, the risk is mostly from a substance used in the darker tones.
