Dolphin
Those darn homeschool kids. We really need to regulate them more, I mean take your eye of them for one day and they are teaching other kids Latin!:D :lol::lol:
QuirkyKapers
:D There's a good response if someone ridicules you for homeschooling. Why do you homeschool? We wanted Latin as part of our curriculum.....

my2boysteacher
I love it! My kids teach their cousin and friend Latin phrases as part of their 'secret club' initiation. When they want to mess with their dad, they will say things in Latin because they know he won't understand. Who says Latin is dead?

Mimm
The public high school that my son attends teaches Latin, but the elementary schools only teach French. That's great. I'm pretty sure the public schools in my area teach no languages, but high schools offer a variety. Not Latin though. :) My husband took four years of Japanese in high school though which I thought was cool. The (much smaller) high school in the town I lived in only offered Spanish. kricau
:) ROFL My older daughter likes to teach her younger sister too. Must be a homeschool thing. Cause the only thing I ever see the cousins (private school) do is fight. LOL

FO4UR
 (I learned what little Latin I know in a public high school.) And, when my dh is asked why we HS, he happily tells people that their mom is teaching them Latin and Greek. (They know a little Latin vocab and the Greek alphabet.) I think that's a good "bean dip" recipe for him iykwim.
