RobinL in Canada Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 I'll be spending some time this summer preparing to teach a CW class in our high school co-op in the fall. I do have degrees in literature and creative writing, but it's been a loooong time since I took any such classes myself and my recollection of what we did in those classes (besides critique one another's writing) is blurry. I'm still hoping for suggestions re what to cover in the course, as well as suggestions for particular stories to read "as writers." A number of the students I will have will have already taken essay writing, poetry, and literary analysis courses with me (used Windows to the World, along with extra stories), so I'd love suggestions for other/ different short fiction we could read and discuss in terms of story-writing elements.
